This new female variety has the variegated foliage previously only seen in the male plants! Growers in moderate to very cold winter climates can enjoy this fruit with its delectable kiwi flavor. The attractive vine produces delicious fruit you can pop from the vine into your mouth - no peeling needed. The fruit is about the size of an arguta hardy kiwi but with a narrower, oblong shape. Needs a male kolomikta kiwi for pollination.

These fast-growing, beautiful vines produce clusters of oblong kiwi fruits the size of large grapes. Originally brought to this country as an ornamental due to the attractive pink and white patching on the leaves, the green fruit is similar to the fuzzy kiwi in flavor, though sweeter and easier to eat. The smooth-textured vines are very vigorous and need some kind of support. Training a fruiting female vine up the legs or railings of a deck, or along an unattractive chain link fence, can create a great tropical effect and be uniquely easy to harvest! Kolomiktas bloom too early to be pollinated by arguta or deliciosa males. Hardy to -40F.
